Our story
How a cleaning business became a community lifeline
Zaira started out running a house-cleaning service. Again and again she noticed clients struggling with the same thing: once the cleaning was done, the big items were still there, with nowhere to go.
So she and her husband, KC, started offering bulky trash collection. It took off so quickly that it became their whole business.
As they grew, they saw that much of what they collected still had life in it. Instead of discarding everything, they began sorting every load and saving clothes, furniture and household goods in good condition. They now work with local charities and non-governmental organizations across the island to get those items to people who need them.
